Administrators should respect coaches
Reports that Shooting
Stars fired their technical advisor Gishon Ntini for what they claimed
‘interfering in technical decisions and poor results and that Saul Chaminuka,
formerly of Shabanie Mine, was also fired just two weeks after relocating his
entire family to Zvishavane showed that our football is yet to be professional.
The Shooting Stars
management agreed that their team was not playing badly but they just fired
Ntini, which shows that to them hiring and firing is routine. With all due
respect to club administrator, the actions of both Stars and Shabanie
administrators proved that administrators to a large extent are killing the
most beautiful game. They cannot hire and fire coaches like that especially
after only two matches.
Club administrators
should respect coaches. They should support them in every way possible, not
just fire them at will. For their actions, Stars and Shabanie administrators
should be summoned for putting the game of football into disrepute.
It is my hope that Ntini
and Chaminuka had binding contracts so that they must be paid.
