Resonating from the biblical Philippians 4 vs 8, Lazarus Sauti’s 36 paged book is a motivational piece, however, not an in-depth exposition on the highly publicised subject of the power of positive thinking.

Reads Philippians 4 vs 8: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Moderately, the book is evocative and plainly motivates readers to the sighting of the fact that since the mind is the most valuable asset to any living person, it needs to be used and sharpened so that it does not lose its value.

The book also points to the assertion that positive thinking is a stimulant to happiness, high-spiritedness and unity.

With 14 chapters which include ‘Embrace the Power of Positives’, ‘Associate With Morale Boosters’ and ‘Avoid Envy but Compete With Your Self’; the book also points to the fact that a person who faces life with a positive mind achieves success.

“Your happiness or high spiritedness begins with the power of your thinking; Therefore, strive to be a person of positive thinking on top of a being of positive action,” reads a part in the book.

An anonymous writer once said that a positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible and as such Sauti says the key to happiness is positive thinking.

“A man is a product or manifestation of what he thinks; one small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.

“As such positive thinking is critical to an individual’s journey to happiness,” said Sauti.

Positive Thinking: Tonic to Happiness also provides some guides on how one can change thought patterns and achieve happiness.

It also encourages the readers to push boundaries in all aspects of life and think positively.

“I thank the Almighty God for enabling me to write this book, and also Kennedy H. Madhombiro, founder and editor of Diaspora Publishers for editing my book.

“I also thank my family, friends, church fellows and everyone in my life for supporting me,” he said

Lazarus Sauti is an information officer, researcher, knowledge and information manager, blogger and journalist.

Positive Thinking: Tonic to Happiness is his first book and he says he hopes to keep sharing his passion through more published work.
